Train to the North Pole

We joined the Dorens, Ortmans, Rugnettas, Auerbachs and the Vesneskes (19 of us!) for a train ride to the North Pole.  The drive to Arcade was full of snow making it very scenic.  The plan was for this to be a family of four outing but Hollyn came down with a cough and congestion.  The car was packed, we were ready for our trip and as we headed South we made a surprise call to CC and Papa.   Thankfully they were thrilled to have Hollyn for the day so after a brief pit stop, we were back on our way.  While Jason, Colon and I headed to brave the elements in the North Pole, Hollyn cozied up with CC and Papa.

All aboard!

Cousins ready for their ride

Coordinated Santa PJs (Hollyn and Elizabeth match too)

Here we go!

We made it - the North Pole!
Picturesque snow for a magical day

Check out Colton's little photo bomb ("horns")

Elizabeth fell in love with Santa - she couldn't get enough of him!

Silliness on the way back home

Muah!

Fun with Elliott
I think these three bounced the whole way home

Looking like the train conductor (telling Uncle Jon a story)

I loved the train ride!

More train photos coming soon... the cold temperatures of the North Pole had my camera battery showing as drained most of the day.  Luckily Emily had her camera in hand (or in the hands of others) snapping pictures all day.

Hollyn was in good hands while we were away

What would a blog post be without a new discovery...
FEET!

Letter learning in the tub - Colton Smith is 2!
(of course Dada helped)
