Colton sent a few messages to family while we were away.  Here are his thoughts:

Date:  February 24, 2013

Hi family,

I am not much of a beach baby but I LOVE the pool!  All the pools have entrances like a beach (without the icky sand and waves) so I can explore on my own and be safe. Daddy taught me to splash like crazy and I throw water with my blue pitcher.  Here I am saying "woah!"

Love,
Colton

Subject:  Change of Heart
Date:  February 25, 2013

Hi Grandparents,

I had a change of heart today about the beach and sand. It took a little convincing but Mama and Dada were very patient with me. Their feet kept playing peek-a-boo in the sand and I thought it looked like fun. After a bit I was sitting, digging, and covered with sand. I even ate some.

I enjoyed the sand so much I even took a walk towards the ocean with Mama. I loved it!  I loved it so much that I had to be held back. I am fearless in the ocean!

After fun at the beach I took a dip in the pool with Dada. I think Mommy wanted some of the sand off me. Regardless of the reason, it was a blast!  I played with my blue bath pitcher and repeatedly dumped and splashed water like crazy.

I am now off for a nap, the sun wore me out.  Sending hugs and mu-aaaaa-ah!

Love,
Colton

Subject:  Bridges
Date:  February 27, 2013

 Hi Grandparents,

I have discovered my favorite place at our hotel... The bridge. Well, bridges. There are several throughout the property and I just can't get enough. Some are over pools while others are over koi ponds. I go nuts!!!  Mom and Dad have been very patient while I walk back and forth, back and forth, and again and again. I would walk on bridges all day if I could!

Hope you are all staying warm at home. We have one full day left and we depart at 4 pm our time on Friday. (3 pm your time)

"Ah dah da ba nah da doh da da ah mo mo da no ah" which translates to ... "I miss you and will see you soon!"

Love,
Colton
