Walker Girl

Hollyn is on the move.  She took her first steps on July 21st and has been gaining more confidence every day.  She gets so excited she often loses her balance or stand and claps for herself.

One - Hollyn's Birthday Celebration

Hollyn turned one on July 8th and we planned her big party for the 19th (avoiding Jason's Geneseo Airshow weekend).  I started thinking about Hollyn's first birthday party before she was born.  A July baby!  Of course we wouldn't experience the rain and cool weather like we did for Colton's first Birthday.  It did rain.  Maybe rain at your first birthday party is good luck?  If so, we have two lucky kids.

A little rain didn't take away from the festivities.  Thank goodness for party tents, a covered bounce house and Frozen.

Happy Birthday to our sweet Hollyn Cornell Smith.
We love you like crazy!

 Three generations.

(Lucy, we miss you!)

Hooray for Grandpa G & Mimi!

Grandpa Bob Bob makes silly faces

Aunt Lauren (and Uncle Kendal) traveled all the way from NC to celebrate with us!

Cuddles with Yamma and Great Aunt Sue.

Girlfriends.

Loving macaroni & cheese.

Almost walking.
(Hollyn took her first steps two days after her party, July 21, 2014)

It's almost time for Birthday cake!

Can you spot the frosting on the shoe and the missing corner of the cake?

 Make a wish.

Yummmm...

Mmmmmm.

I think I'm done.

Birthday party fun.

 And more fun.

And even more fun.

Thanks to our family and friends who were here to celebrate and to those who couldn't be, we love you all!

Let's do this again!

Colton's first AIRSHOW!

A dream come true.  Jason took Colton to his first airshow.  Jason developed a love for aviation at a young age and Colton seems to be following his Daddy's footsteps.

The boys and Grandpa Bob Bob enjoyed a day at the Geneseo Airshow, The Greatest Show on Turf

Getting ready to head to the airshow -- this video is priceless!
(Colton is correct, the plane is a P-51 Mustang)

On the move and chatterbox

Hollyn must have been waiting to turn one to start moving on her feet.  We have shown her Colton's doggie push toy countless times.  This time she took off!

Our little lady also likes to mimic sounds.   She does it often yet is very difficult to catch on a video.  Here she is showing off some of her skills.  She also says Mama, Dada, momo (more), baba (bottle), and do-dog (doggie).

Hollyn is ONE!

Hollyn is 1 year old today!  It has been an amazing year for all four of us.  Hollyn has grown from a  7 pound, 6 ounce infant to a sweet, ambitious, and 25 pound toddler.  We are so proud of our little lady who keeps us on our toes and brings so much joy to our family.  We love you, Tootie!

Colton loves to greet Hollyn every morning, today was extra special.

My Dad & Michelle stayed with us the night before Hollyn's Birthday -- the extra company made her birthday morning even more exciting.
...deja vu, last year my Dad stayed with us so Jason and I could head to the hospital at 5 a.m.

Grandparents and Great Grandparents came over for a little party.
Hollyn's big party will be held on July 19th.

Learning how to unwrap.  Hollyn preferred to eat the tissue paper.

Being the big brother of the birthday girl came with perks -- including books and a set of water guns.

Hollyn had her picture taken with all of her special grandparents.

 Happy Birthday to you...

Colton stepped in to help with the candle.

 Cake, finally!

Colton enjoyed checking out Grandpa Bob Bob's work truck

He later tested out his water guns with Grandpa G
