Jason's sister Lauren (and hubby to be, Kendal) are getting married in Myrtle Beach on October 25, 2013. I loved having something fun to look forward as my time away from work is comes to a close. We booked our flights and reserved our condo back when I was pregnant, not even knowing Hollyn's name - crazy to think how much time has passed. This is Colton's first trip in his own seat and the first flight for Hollyn. The kids are great little travelers (which means I can begin to plan a spring getaway).
First Travel Victory: All four of us out the door and nestled into our 4:40 a.m. cab (for once Jason and I got to wake these kiddos up!)
Forget the airplane, Colton could have hung out here the entire week.
This is how we passed our time until our flight
Nestled in and ready for takeoff - it's not even 6:30 a.m. yet
A brief layover in Charlotte, a second flight, rental car and a short drive...
Second Travel Victory: Ocean, sun & palm trees! We have arrived!
I must mention, we never would have made it to Myrtle Beach without the assistance of packer extraordinaire - Michelle (Grandma Mimi). She was with us the day before leaving for vacation. Our teamwork looked like this: I threw everything Hollyn, Colton and I needed to bring into three heaping (messy) piles on the floor. Michelle meticulously packed each bag - things were folded, rolled and socks stuffed in shoes. I would then run around and add more to each pile and check off my crazy Excel spreadsheet packing list. Jason made his own pile and Michelle packed his too. She even helped us weigh our bags to be sure we were under the 50 lb limit. Thank you, Mimi!!! If only you could have flown to MB to pack us back up!
