Keuka Lake - More memories

Our week was filled with relaxing on the deck, wineries, cocktails, R&R, and lots of fun.

Family.

The three musketeers.
(there will be FOUR next year)

Big brother love.

Bath time was routine -- these kids got so dirty playing outside!

Morning cuddles with CC

Power swords

Art time on the deck.

Hollyn preferred painting her and and plate over the rock.

Laura & I had our very own Personal Trainer for the week -- Colton was a motivation coach!

He even joined in on the action.

We spent one day visiting a few wineries.

The kids were given popsickles to taste!

Cheers!

Colton has begun wanting to do everything himself.
Including pouring my wine!

Happy milestone Birthday to Papa!

Our little lady loved climbing on everything, especially the big lawn chair!
She also loved making silly faces.

Mommy's girl.

CC's girl.

Dinner at the Switz

And a few videos for good measure...

Hollyn has yet to choose walking over crawling 100% of the time...
one morning she took to strolling with a box.

Keuka Lake House

Family vacations are filled with memories -- far too many for me to even begin to capture on this blog.  Instead of capturing every moment, below are a few of my favorites from our week away.

We spent a week in Hammondsport, NY on Keuka Lake with CC, Papa and the Vesneske clan.  Colton and Hollyn loved spending every day with their cousin, Elizabeth.

Vacation!  Our first full day away.

Such a pretty view

Hours were spent on the beach

"Here fishy-fishy; fishy-fishy, where are you?"

Hollyn likes the water, as long as she's not in it.  I think she's more of a pool girl.

 Our swimmer man

Colton & Elizabeth were inseparable

Caught a FROG!

Fishing!

Colton's FIRST fish!

Campfire time!
With matching head lamps from CC & Papa

S'mores!

The Fair Tradition 2014

Just like 2012 and 2013 (and all the years prior beginning in 2006), we headed to the Erie County Fair on a Friday night.  This year was different.  We spent more time in the kids ride area than anywhere else.  Colton rode his first carnival ride solo and also took his first spin on the Ferris wheel with Daddy.  Hollyn devoured fried dough.

All aboard the Ferris Wheel

Safe & Sound (Mama is relieved)

The pilot

The night ended with a Colton/Mommy tandem trip down the big slide.  It would have been a hit had Colton been content riding on my lap.  Our guy has entered the phase of "I'll do it all by myself."

The Swimmer!

Colton hit a big milestone during our family cookout over the weekend.  He let go of me in the pool and floated solo!

He has always loved the water; his first swim in Miami, pouring buckets of water over his head in Aruba and his cold water swim last spring at CC's.  Nothing can keep this guy out of the water.  This being said, he would dunk his head, jump off the side yet hold on tight.

Way to go, Colton!

Impossible:  Getting two floating toddlers to look in the same direction.

We were not sure if his 'swimming' was a one hit wonder, so we headed to Mr. Harry's pool for a dip on Sunday.  Low and behold, Colton went right in and was on his own!

Go Colton, we are so proud of you!

Hollyn took a few dips in the pool but mostly played with her cups of water and drank pool water.

big jump.

splash.

Our little sunbather - she even got up there all by herself.

Just to prove how much Colton loves the water...  When the weather is 64 degrees and a pool is not in sight, this guy hits the sprinklers.

Update... Just came across these sweet pictures -- Hollyn & Elizabeth swim too!
