Family Fun with G & Mimi

Mimi visited home for a few days to meet Hollyn and spend time with family.  Hollyn was very excited to meet her third Grandma.  Laura and Elizabeth joined us for dinner and a little family fun.

Colton loves the phone.  Recently he has requested to make calls and to talk on the phone.  Here is his latest conversation with Grandma CC.  He is quite the chatterbox.

Family Firsts - Week 2

Now that Hollyn is going on two weeks old, we have been getting out a bit more.  There are a few added logistics but overall we have done rather well adjusting to being a family of four.

First Trip to the Clarence Farmers' Market

After a bit of shopping at the market we walked over to the Clarence bike trail.  Colton loved watching cars and trucks drive under the foot bridge - we even saw Great Uncle Brad's truck drive underneath.  After some fun with trucks, Colton decided to run.  We thought he wouldn't go too far but those little legs surprised us.  We ended up taking quite the walk on the bike trail before heading home.

Home Sweet Home

Hollyn and I were discharged from the hospital on Thursday.  I was really looking forward to being home and settling into our new family routine. Most importantly, I could not wait to spend more time with Colton.

Colton came down with a little cold so he was home with Grandma CC when we arrived from the hospital.  It was so sweet to see his excitement when he saw Hollyn again.  He is very curious and attentive.  He points out her feet, nose and hat.  He smiles huge when he says "bay-bee," it is so precious.  I know he will be an amazing big brother and will always look after his little sister.
