Little Mama

Hollyn mothers everyone. She pats her brother on his back when he cries.  Covers Jason up when he is on the couch.  Attentively pets the cat and offers a bottle.  Most recently, she has taken a liking to her baby doll.

Stitches

We are four days into 2015 and the adventures have begun.

Colton fell into the bathroom doorway and cut his forehead.  A trip to Pediatric Urgent Care resulted in a viewing of Planes Fire and Rescue, five stitches, a popsicle at nearly midnight, and a doughnut date with Mommy & Daddy a week later.

We celebrated with breakfast at Tim Hortons.

Baby coming soon!

My little sis and Jon are expecting #2 very soon.  Elizabeth will be a big sister to a little brother.  We celebrated Baby 'E' with a little lunch at Creekview.

Hollyn has quite the maternal instinct.  

Once baby arrives, she has volunteered to give Aunt Laura and Uncle Jon a hand.

Welcome 2015...

Welcome 2015.

This year I am looking to be present and enjoy home.  It is very easy for me to get caught up in my 'to dos' and forget to be in the moment.  

Colton and Hollyn grew so much over the past 365 days.  They look different.  Their vocabulary expended.  Hollyn went from sitting to crawling to running.  Colton now jumps, jacks and loves the gym.  They are becoming more self sufficient; taking off their own shoes and coats.  Colton went to his first Air Show (Geneseo) and enjoyed his first movie on the big screen at a theater.  Hollyn has taken a liking to mothering everyone, especially her brother and has a passion for shoes.

Jason and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary.  I cannot put into words how different our lives are today compared to five years ago.  Let's just say are days are fuller, our hearts are fuller and we work hard to provide a loving and enjoyable life for our two little people.  I wake up every day ready to take on the challenge and enjoy the moments along the way.  Hoping time doesn't go by too fast.
