Memorial Day Weekend

For the first time in several years, we spent Memorial Day weekend relaxing at home.  The weather was beautiful - we planted flowers, relaxed, and Colton played in his pool.  On Sunday morning Colton and I headed to the finish line of the Buffalo Marathon & Half Marathon to cheer on our friends.  While I had hoped to be running, some knee pain has kept me away from this race.  The good news is my MRI showed no injury!  Hopefully with a little PT and some rest, I'll be back running before the end of the summer.

Splish Splash

As the beautiful weekend weather continued, I ventured out to buy Colton a little pool.  This will likely be the most affordable pool I will ever purchase.  For twelve dollars, I am certain there will be hours of enjoyment.

"Mom - I really need some pool toys, not just my bath toys!"

After about 30 minutes in the pool, Colton figured out how to splash!

More splashes.

Happy.

Seven

What a beautiful weekend!  We had a little impromptu cookout with our neighbors Saturday night.  Just as we finished dinner I remembered Colton was seven months old!  Not that we need a reason to snap pictures of our little guy - but the lighting was perfect so Jason grabbed his camera and started shooting.

Mother's Day

Our Mother's Day plans were brunch at home followed by a cookout at Aunt Amy & Uncle Steve's.  After brunch, Colton took a nap and woke with a fever.  The three of us spent the rest of Mother's Day at home (followed by the next three days too).  After a few days of high temperatures, Colton was back to himself.

May

I still catch myself when I tell people is Colton is six months old.  He has grown and changed so much.  His little personality is more evident every day - his giggles and babbles fill our home and we can't imagine life without him.

Front. Bottom. Left.

It's official, tooth #1 is on it's way.  After a fussy Monday night, Colton opened his mouth wide and we felt a tooth that just broke through his gum.

After soothing, cuddles, acetaminophen, and a bath - Colton finally found comfort in the letter "F."

Since then the tooth has made a little more progress.  Below is our handsome man feeling out the first of many more teeth to come.
